Text: Matt. 2:1-12
How many of you want to spend Christmas
back home?
These wise men (Maji) have their
own family they came from the East-Persia. They came
to seek the King of kings.
Luke 2:4-17
Bethlehem-means the House of Bread
Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who
comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes
in Me shall never thirst.
The star moved as a guide, from Jerusalem
to Bethlehem. The star stood over the place where
the child was and pointed at the very house where
the child was.
The star it could be the “Shekinah
Glory” Shekinah is the presence of God or the
Glory of God. The Lord went before them by day in
a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in
a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by
night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by
day or the pillar of fire by night from before the
people.
The gifts o the Maji or wise men
Gold is the gift for a king, Jesus
is our King. Revelation 19: 11-16
Frankincense is the gift for a High Priest. Hebrew
5:1-10
Myrrh is the gift for who is about to die. Luke 42-47
Jesus was born to die for us, when
Jesus was born he was thinking about you.
When He comes, we will not spend
Christmas away from home.
