Pain

People everywhere are uneasy about losing jobs and homes. They’re not sure where to turn.

God was not affected by the collapse of our financial institutions. Nothing is surprising or troublesome to him.

Pain will make you pray hard, pain will make you discourage and quit of serving God

The world say’s time to win a time to loose. In God’s children, there’s time to win and there’s time to learn.

Isaiah 55:8
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. For the heavens are higher are higher than your ways….He is our Anchor. in life.

Jabez’s simple, direct request to God changed

1. Oh, that you would bless me indeed.
2. Enlarge my territory
3. That your hand would be with me
4. That you would keep me from evil.

We expect to attempt something large enough that failure is guaranteed unless God steps in.

His mother called his name Jabez, because “I bore him in pain” and there’s no good promise on his name. Maybe its been a traumatic, or maybe the father abandoned them or maybe they had fallen into financial crisis.

But Jabez called God, Oh that you would bless me, raising his hands to heaven, he cries out, Father, please bless me.

Bless me means, bless me a lot
Blessing is not like sneezing, bless you or have a nice day. This kind of bless get watered down.

Biblical meaning was asking for supernatural favor.

Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

Make a lifelong commitment to ask God everyday to bless you… a lot. Why, because it is God’s nature to bless you abundantly.
