In His Presence

Scriptural Reference: Text: 2 Samuel 7:27-29; Genesis 1:2
How much water can you hold in the palm of your hand?
How much dust could you take up with a scoop? We
are limited; God isn't. He has already measured all
the water in His palm. He is the Almighty, not limited
like we are.
We spend the majority of our
lives building security in our job, finances, and
relationships. But security
within the world system is extremely shallow and deceptive; "Do
not store up for yourselves treasures (security) on
earth, where moth and rust destroy, where thieves break
in and steal" (Matthew 6:19). We ought to be thankful
for every one of our earthly blessings, but we should
NEVER receive our "security" from the world.
Our complete dependence must always remain on our Lord
Jesus Christ, and our eyes and ears continually open
to His leading.
Our daily walk is made one slow
step at a time as we "trust in the Lord with all your heart and
lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs
3:5).
Secure wherever I go.
How wonderful to hear God promise I am with you, wherever
you go. I will protect you, wherever you go, I will
prosper you and your descendents, wherever you go.
I will not leave you until I have done all that I
promised, wherever you go. ” What a comfort
for this and every sinner who returns to the Lord!
We cannot depart from God's presence; He is everywhere.
He's always in control, even when we try to fashion
our own destiny without God and make a mess of it.
" Now, O Lord God, the word which You have spoken concerning
Your servant and concerning his house, establish it
forever and do as You have said. So let Your name be
magnified forever, saying, 'The Lord of hosts is the
God over Israel.' And let the house of Your servant
David be established before You. For You, O Lord of
hosts, God of Israel, has revealed this to Your servant,
saying, 'I will build you a house.' Therefore Your
servant has found it in his heart to pray this prayer
to You. And now, O Lord God, You are God, and Your
words are true, and You have promised this goodness
to Your servant. Now therefore, let it please You to
bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue
forever before You; for You, O Lord God, have spoken
it, and with Your blessing let the house of Your servant
be blessed forever."
Therefore Your servant has found it in his heart to
pray this prayer to You: Notice that David prayed from
the heart. Some people pray from a book; others pray
from their head. The right place to pray from is the
heart.
Lord, I do
not know what to ask of You. You know better than
me what my needs are. You love more than I know how
to love, Help me to see clearly my real needs which
I do
not see. I open my heart to You. Examine and reveal
to me
my faults and sins, I put all trust in You. I have
no other
desire than to fulfill Your will. Teach me how to pray.
In Jesus Name, Amen
