Favor means
to assist, to give you special advantages and to receive
special treatment.
When God wants to bless you, He will
send a person in your life, to bring the blessing
for you.
How many of you had a problem this
past week or you know somebody who had a problem?
The fact that you have problems and pressures mean
that you are experiencing the favor of God, many times
God uses problems and pressures to mold us and shape
us and all the while we are experiencing His favor.
Elijah prayed that God will bless
him in the middle of crisis. No rain meant famine
was coming, no rain no crops, no crops meant nothing
to eat, did Elijah want to go through the famine?
The answer is NO. Elijah said, Lord what about me,
God said no problem I have you covered on this crisis.
Get away from here and turn eastward,
and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the
Jordan, and it will be that you shall drink from the
brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you
there. God always gives instruction to His people.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me and I
will answer you. The scripture did not say, He will
think first before He will answer us. He will show
you great things of His kindness and power. God speaks
little, but He answers much when you do the calling
Jeremiah 32: is there anything too
hard for me? If you do not believe in His plan, you
are depriving yourself from His best.
Psalms 115:11-14 You fear the Lord,
trust in the Lord, He is your help and shield
The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us;
He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those
who fear the Lord, small and great. May the Lord give
increase more and more, You and your children.
God has a good plan for you, peace
and not evil, to give you a future and hope. The only
reason God does not speak to His people is that they
never call upon Him.
Our part is to call, His part is
to answer. God commanded your provision. Our needs
are on the other side of our obedience. If Elijah
missed to obeyed God’s instruction, he would
missed his provision. The bible does not say call
unto me and I will avoid you.
God uses the ravens to brought him food, meat in the
morning, bread and meat in the evening; and drunk
from the brook.
John 16:13 He will speak and He will
teach you the things to come.
1 King 17 Then the word of the Lord
came to Elijah saying, arise, go to Zarephath, which
belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded
a widow there to provide for you. And when he came
to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was gathering
sticks. And called her and said, please bring me a
little water in a cup that I may drink. And she about
to get it, he called again and said, please bring
me also a bread.
The widow was looking at what little
she had left as her harvest. That is why she said
only God knows I do have a handful of flour in a bin,
and a little oil in a jar, and see I am gathering
a couple sticks that I may go in and prepare it for
myself and my son, that we may eat before we die.
But Elijah was looking at what she
had left as a seed. What causes the multiply? Anointing
and the obedience of the widow to the man of God,
when God wants to bless you He will put person in
your life. Obedience is critical.
DIS-means separation
Disobedience separated us from
the provision of God that belongs to us.
